Save the Turtle & Beach Cleaning 2024

Through the ‘Save the Turtle’ initiative, Brother International Malaysia demonstrated its commitment to environmental care and marine life preservation. In Terengganu and Pahang, 25 employees — including Managing Director Mr. Tsutomu Takaki — actively participated in a coastal clean-up and helped release endangered Agar turtle hatchlings back into the ocean, supporting efforts to revive the species and protect natural ecosystems.

The clean-up focused on Cherating beach, where the team collected nearly 160 kilograms of waste, largely made up of plastic pollutants that pose significant risks to marine life. The initiative concluded at the Ma’Daerah Turtle Sanctuary Centre, where 50 baby turtles were released into the sea — a meaningful moment that reflected the team’s shared commitment to nature.

Beyond the immediate impact, the activity served as a valuable learning experience for all involved, highlighting the consequences of plastic pollution and the importance of biodiversity. It also encouraged participants to continue practicing sustainability in their daily lives — a small step toward a cleaner, healthier environment. Always “At Your Side” for a better, greener tomorrow.
